Letters on Practical Banking. By Joseph Brunton. (Arnold. 7s. 6d.)

Banking students will find in this work much that is already familiar, but it is presented to them in an up-to-date and peculiarly attractive form. In a 'series of fourteen letters, sipposed to be addressed by an inspector to a branch manager, the everyday problems of banking are discussed in a lucid and interesting manner. The student cannot fail to derive profit from the work, and it will be read with some interest even by-the practical banker. It is easy to read and, what is most important in a textbook, has a useful subject-index.
