* * * * The Hansard Society, founded by Commander

Stephen King- Hall, is broadening out into an organisation for publicising Parlia- ment. That is all to the good, for a mere attempt to increase the circulation of Hansard could only have a limited success, for the good reason that most ordinary citizens, even if they had the desire to read Hansard regularly, have not the time for it. But a Hansard Society that stimulates the publication of books about various aspects of Parliament, and provides lectures on the history and procedure of the two Houses and the like, should have a large sphere of usefulness before it.
