THE OXFORD ELECTION

[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] Sin,—Notwithstanding Mr. J. Stewart Cook's pronouncement, I believe that the vast majority of University electors see no "public scandal" whatever in the method of University. Parliamentary elections. I voted as I pleased and care not who—Vice-Chancellor or scrutineers—knows to whom I gave my vote.

The method, as far as the electors are concerned, is con-. venient and expeditious.—Yours faithfully,

16 Albemarle Road, Norwich. B. COZENS-HARDY.
