BOTH the Great Houses have been visited by the Queen in state, this week. At Drury Lane, on Tuesday, her Majesty chose BALFE's Aka/ sfroiis, nod the last new ballet, The Spirit qj Air—with the Lions again of course. Last night, the Queen was more intellectually entertained at Covent Garden, with The Lady V Lllwis—as a wag said, "The lady of Lams came to see her namesake :" Rob Rog, not the pantomime, was played as an after- piece. Roth houses were crammed with loyal audiences. I her Majesty need not apprehend an unfavourable reception on going to open Parlia- ment, if she only take as lively an interest in seeing her poor subjects sumaied with bread as the lions with beef.

The Queen was dressed in mourning, which becomes her, and wore a profusion a brilliants and it wreath of white flowers on her head.
