The sudden silence that has enshrouded the Loch, Ness Monster

is almost as perplexing as the (discrepant and largely incredible stories poured out -by 'special correspondents of the London papers till a ffirtnight or so ago. Now even the Press of Scotland is leaving- the monster alone—if there is in fact any monster to leave alone. Personally I still believe there is. Conflicting though many of the reports have been, there is still a respectable volume of unvarnished testimony- which points to the presence in the loch of some animal 'which was neither a large seal nor arty other beast familiar in such waters. Unless we are to conclude that the vision of the local residents only operates in the presence of special correspondents, inure news May he expected from Loch Ness yet.
