From Dr Simon Farmer Sir: Like most neurologists I am prone to bouts of hypochondriasis often centred on the diseases we treat, and déjà vu can be a symptom of an unpleasant malady of the brain. Have I read Theodore Dalrymple's piece in The Spectator of 26 January somewhere, sometime, before or should I be checking myself in for a CAT scan? Please put me out of my misery.
The misery is all ours. As a result of a technical glitch, Theodore Dalrymple's second opinion printed last week had indeed been published before, on 24 November. Our apologies.
