The Duke of Northumberland has presented the Dublin College of

A meeting was held at Bury last week, for the purpose of getting up a petition to Parliament for the repeal of the Malt-duty.

A meeting has recently been held in Liverpool, at which it was determined to form a company for the purpose of constructing a railway between Birmingham and Liverpool. The line of road proposed is the same as the one projected at the meeting held in Birmingham three weeks ago.—Bientinghern Journal.
