THE "SPECTATOR" CHRISTMAS FUND FOR THE POOR CLERGY RELIEF CORPORATION

WE have to acknowledge the following further donations received by us or sent direct to the Poor Clergy Relief Corpora- tion (38 Tavistoek Place, Tavistoek Square, W.C. 1). A Constant Reader, ; F. D. V., £3; Miss Aitken, £3; Miss Humphreys, £2 2s. : B. Elliot, Esq., 12 2s. ; Mrs. M. Buston, 11. These, with sums already acknowledged, make a total of £242 5s. The Committee of the Corporation inform us that during the month of December they distributed £1.397 in the following ways :--1795 to 49 clergymen, £537 to 33 widows and orphan daughters from the general fund, besides £65 to three clergy- men from the Country Clergy Fund, and 80 gifts of clothing. We are grateful for our readers' generosity and must now close the fund.—ED. Spectator.
