We should add to our mention of the brilliant success

of Miss Ramsay, of Girton College, and Min Hervey, of Newnbam, last week, the remarkable place gained- in the Historical Tripos by Mies Mary Bateson, who was second in the first class. In a tripes which contained no fewer than forty-three competitors,— a very much larger number than entered for the Mediceval and Modern Languages Tripos,—this was no slight achievement. Miss Mary Bateson's honours must certainly be placed among the most brilliant of this year's brilliant feminine achievements.
