AMALGAMATED PRESS PROGRESS.

While at the recent Annual Meeting of Amalgamated Press, Lord Camrose naturally expressed some concern with regard to the rising tendency of costs, he was able nevertheless to take a fairly hopeful view of the future, an optimism stimulated by the continued increase in circulation of the Company's periodicals and the advance in revenues from advertising. Moreover, in the current year, the Company will make a considerable saving in the interest on its Debenture stock, against which, however, Lord Camrose anticipates some drop in the profits of its subsidiary, the Imperial Paper Mills.
