Chambers's Encyclopedia. A new edition. Vol. I., " A "

to "Beaufort." (W. and R. Chambers.)—This Encyclopedia was completed just twenty years ago. It has been revised from time to time. Now a wholly new edition is published. Much has been rewritten, and the rest revised. The result will be, if we may judge from the volume before us, a highly useful work of reference. contained in a moderate compass and purchasable at a reasonable price. We hope to notice the work on some future occasion at greater length, and meanwhile commend it to the consideration of our readers. A student of average resources could not have a more convenient "Dictionary of Universal Knowledge."
