NEWS OF THE WEEK.

THE French papers have been full of reports as to the where- abouts of the Comte de Chambord. The Republique Francaise asserted that he was in Versailles, and named the house ; but he was not there, and subsequent telegrams assert that he is still at Frohsdorf, and only the Comte de Chambrun in Versailles. It is possible he did make a flying visit to Versailles, and his party seems to believe he will be there when the Recess ends, and the great debate on the organic laws begins. Re is to guide his party, who can, if they please, throw out M. de Broglie or keep him in, or even make the Marshal's seat insecure. It does not much matter where he is, unless, indeed, he plays some fantastically chivalric freak, costing Jives. He is Bourbon, and for twenty-seven years no Bourbon las ever acted at the right time or in the right way. From Louis Philippe downwards, the race has been marked in France, Spain, and Naples by the Stuart incapacity for being successful.
