Sugar plum

Since I was young, I never have gainsaid, My mother's word that little girls are made Of sugar syrup, glycerine and spice; In fact, of everything that's sweet and nice. Such things in former days I could afford, And gladly paid to get my sweet reward. But now the price of sweeties is the sky, And for my modest pocket is too high, So you can see I cannot be too faddy, In taking on just any Sugar Daddy.
