Messrs. Bowman. and Suers. of Tabernacle Walk, Finsbury, have sent

us a letter stating that a person pretending to be an agent of the SPECTATOR, called on them last week and obtained money for an advertisement. The man must have been a swindler. No person in Loudon is authorized to receive money on account of the SPECTATOR. except Mr. CLAYTON, the publisher, and Mr. HENRY WATTS.% ho is well known in the Trade.
