[TO TH2 EDITOR Or THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR,—There is a tone of barbarity in Miss Dulcie Franklin's letter shocking to contemplate. She sees a rare butterfly and can think of nothing better than to catch and presumably kill it. Why could not she let this beautiful creature exist and multiply without having the " mortification" of seeing it soar out of reach ? I suppose it is the attitude of such people with their nets and killing bottles which makes Camberwell Beautys rare. I have never seen one, and probably never shall as long as ladies adopt the maxim, "It is a fine day; let us go out and kill something, and if possible something
