A Book of Galloway. By Thomas Newbigging. (J. R. and

A. Kirkpatrick, Gatehouse-of-Fleet. Be. net.)—Mr. Crockett has made us all know something of Galloway and its people. We are better prepared, therefore, for the true story which Mr. Newbigging has to tell us of a particular nook—some twelve miles of coast country, Wigtown Bay and Fleet Bay. He describes the scenery and the life, and tells us about some men of renown who have lived there, Samuel Rutherford among them. A pretty little book this, with appropriate illustrations.
