Hunting Tours. By Cecil. (Saunders, Otley, and Co.)—A glowing account

of the different " crack " packs of hounds, much of the pedigree and powers of the dogs, and a good deal of flattery of all masters of hounds. "The name of Berkeley," we are told, "ought to be and doubtless is deeply engraven on the hearts of those who possess inherent interests and affections for the welfare of Cheltenham." This is with reference to the late Earl Fitzhardinge. Of a tolerably easy country we are told that the fences are "negotiable." However, a book which issues from the press with so aristocratic a list of subscribers is not to be criticized—sporting slang and adulation will make a good selling mixture.
