Eunice Anscombe. By Mrs. J. E. H. Gordon. (Sampson Low, Marston, and Co.)—The ability shown in this tale is chiefly in the delineation of the children's characters. Bimbi and Bobo are sketched with true humour, but we cannot say that we have found much pleasure in the studies of the heroine or hero. Neither Godfrey Freeman, nor Albinia Verity, nor Eunice Anscombe is made really visible to our eyes. With the children the interest of this tale begins and ends, so far as the present reviewer is concerned ; but they are delightful.
