SHORT LETTERS AN . OLD-FASHIONED HOTEL."

Your Bristol correspondent appears to regret that the hotels of that city "have not yet realized the possibilities of regular music and dance features." May they long co continue ! The chief hotel of the city is, from the point of view outlined above, deplorably old-fashioned ; but from the point of view of one visitor at any rate, it is comfortable and quiet and free from nightly incursions of noisyyouths and flappers.—ALEc. ROBERTSON, The -Lighthouse, Winterton, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

A THREE-LEGGED TOUR IN GREECE.

Anent your article on Ethel Smyth's lively and excellent volume, A Three-legged Tour in Greece, may I remark that the Treasure House, also called Agamemnon's Tomb, is not that of Athens but of Atreus ? Miss Smyth was unfortunate in her choice of inns. I spent two long winters in Greece, and had no discomforts anywhere.—F. BAYFORD HARRISON, Epsom,

PIGSTICE1NG In my article on pigstieking last week there was a careloe error. Wild boar are born in July, not April, at the end of the season. The incident happened in April, so the young, striped pig I described, must have been seen on some other happier occasion.—F. YEA:Is-BROWN.

THE STORY OF A LITTLE POEM.

May I call your attention to a misprint which may have the effect of misleading various correspondents who asked nit for the title of the poem referred to in the article under the above heading ? The correct title is "La Cavalla Storna: instead of, as you gave it, "La Cavalla Storma."—ALFRrO TRESSIDER SHEPPARD, Saffron Waldon, Essex.,
