ADOPTED CHILDREN.

The National Children Adoption Association was founded by the Honorary. Director, Miss Clara Andrew, in 1917: It has as its President and Chairman H.R.H. Princess Alice; Countess of Athlone and the Duchess of Abereorn respectively. Since its inception nearly 4,000 children have been happily adopted in childless families without any premium or payment. There is a long waiting list at the Head Office at 50 Sloane Street of unusually good applicants for suitable homeless and orphaned children. The Association's Hostels are Tower Cressy, Aubrey Road, Campden Hill and Castlebar, Sydenham Hill, which is shortly to be opened and which will accommodate forty babies.—Warr.
