THE 1T1 LIMO:

Day 1 London Heathrow to Amman. Late afternoon departure with Royal Jordanian Airlines to Amman. Arrive in the late evening and transfer to the Le Meridien Hotel for an overnight stay Day 2 Amman to Jerash. On the way to Jerash we will see the major points of interest in Amman. Drive north into the hills of Gilead for our visit to the beautiful Roman City of Jerash, known as the 'Pompeii of the East'. Wander among the original temples, theatres, plazas, baths and colonnaded streets, all enclosed within the remaining city walls. Jerash is considered the best preserved and most complete city of the Decapolis, a confederation of ten Roman cities dating from the 1st century B.C. In the afternoon drive south to Madaba and Mount Nebo from where Moses glimpsed the Promised Land and on Co the Dead Sea for a two night stay at the Marriott Hotel.

Day 3 Dead Sea. The day is yours to relax and enjoy the facilities of this exceptional resort, which is situated at the lowest point on earth. some 400 metres below sea level. Perhaps, visit the spa which offers treatments with the renowned Dead Sea salt arid mud. Day 4 Dead Sea to Petra. Drive along the Dead Sea Valley to Kerek to visit the vast Crusader Castle, the largest in Jordan. In the afternoon continue south to Petra for a two night stay at the Marriott Hotel, situated on a steep hillside overlooking the Valley of Petra. Day 5 Petra. Today is devoted to Petra. Walk or ride down the celebrated Sig, the narrow gorge that leads into Petra. Visit the breathtaking Treasury and other monuments of the vanished city.

Day 6 Wadi Rum to Aqaba. Drive south towards Wadi Rum and transfer CO four wheel drive vehicles, for a desert safari through some magical landscapes of towering cliffs and great avenues of sand. It was a much beloved place of Lawrence of Arabia; this irresistible place', Lawrence called it, 'this processional way greater than the imagination'. Later in the day continue driving south to the shores of the Red Sea and the resort of Aqaba, ringed by dramatic mountains. Stay for two nights at the Radisson SAS Hotel.

Day 7 Aqaba. Spend a leisurely day enjoying the hotel's huge swimming pool or beach. Adjacent to the hotel is the ancient site of Ayla, perhaps spend some time in Aqaba visiting the medieval fort and nearby museum. Day 8 Aqaba to London Heathrow Morning departure with Royal Jordanian Airlines via Amman to London, arriving in the mid afternoon.
