Polish storm

Sir: May I congratulate Marjorie Wallace (Countess Skarbek in private life) on her well-balanced — if slightly inaccurate — article 'Storm in a Polish tea-cup' (9 December). The distinguished guests at the Chopin commemorative concert and supper in Guildhall on 20 November were naturally invited free, by me, as chairman of the Organising Committee.
