Mr. James Murray Mackinlay, who is well known as a

painstaking and trustworthy student of Scottish antiquities, completes his work on Ancient Church Dedications in Scotland by the issue of a second volume (David Douglas, 12s. 6d. net), dealing with dedications to non-Scriptural saints, native and foreign. The book is a copious collection of architectural detail and historical or legendary tradition, which leaves nothing to be desired in point of comprehensiveness or accuracy.
