Sul,—There has been much misunderstanding of this appointment! The new

headmaster is a born teacher, inspirer and leader if ever there was one. To some of those who knew him when, and soon after, he was head of the school at Rugby it was obvious, as no one else's future has ever been obvious, that he ought to sit one day in the seat of Arnold and Temple. The City took him away. Now Rugby has recovered her own.
