C. H. B." expressed in the letter printed in the Spectator of July 23rd is excellent ; but why is the evening celebration of Holy Communion to be "allowed" on one day only ? Dean Hook, Dr. Pusey, Mr. Keble, Bishop Philpotts, Dean Howson, and many other High Churchmen, recognised the propriety of celebrations in the evening, the time of its institution, and at which St. Paul administered the Holy Communion, the time of day when the greater number of communicants can most calmly and reverentially attend.—
