We have received yet two more manuals of a subject

which is evidently of a most complicated kind,—the Local Government Act. As time goes on, the volumes become bigger and bigger, the theme evidently opening up new prospects the more it is examined. The two volumes now before us—we have already noticed some seven or eight—are :—The Law Relating to Parish Councils, by George Humphreys, B.A. (Stevens and Sons) ; and The Law of District and Parish Councils, by John Lithiby, LL.B. (Effingham Wilson).
