EANGRIN TIN RESULTS Tin companies are treating their contributions to

the buffer pool on a conservative basis-a necessary precaution, even though the pool is at the moment batting on a very favourable wicket. Thus Mr. Kenneth 0. Hunter, chairman of Bangrin Tin Dredging Company, announced at last week's meeting that the buffer pool contributions were being brought into account at cost of production plus Siamese Government royalty only. That conservative treatment of 94 tons of the 361 tons produced in the first five months of the current financial year partly explained the fact that estimated profits for those five months amounted only to £28,871, compared with £37,456 in the corresponding months of 1938. Total production for the past five months was also lower at 361 tons,
