Abortion and the law

Sir: Miss Rhys-Williams (23 June) makes one un- founded allegation after another. I repeat what I said in my letter of 16 June, 'The only con- nection between the British Humanist Association and the Abortion Law Reform Association is that the BHA, the University Humanist Federation (unF) and four local humanist branches are affiliated to ALRA, each paying an annual fee of one guinea.'

The fact that UHF members turned up to heckle at a public meeting organised by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children puts them in no different relationship to ALRA from that of any other affiliate or, indeed, from any member of the public who may feel impelled to expre's his indignation.
