Miss Elsie. By H. Mary Wilson. (Religious Tract Society.)— There

is, indeed, not much about " Miss Elsie " in the tale before us ; it is principally devoted to the record of a domestic servant's career. Hannah, the individual in question, acts as nurse to " Miss Elsie," who goes through much tribulation, but finally, to her " nurse's " satisfaction, secures her lover and a fair slice of happi- ness. There are some very apt and sensible remarks on service, and the trials and temptations to be overcome in performing honourable service, which should lend a value to the book in the eyes of many readers.
