Since the publication of this letter Mr. Isaacs has taken

steps to proceed against Sir Charles Hobhouse. In these circumstances we can make no comment on the subject., except that we are extremely glad that it is to be brought into Court. For sifting evidence, for clearing up misunderstandings, and for attaching credit or discredit to those who deserve it, no apparatus has ever been invented comparable to an English trial at Bar.
