Abortion

Sir: Dr D. M. Jenkins(Letters, March 23) accuses me of being as hostile to Reds under beds as to the Scarlet women in them. (and not content with that, he drags in the red herring of 'eliminating undesirables' which he darkly infers to be my 'real motive'!) I must confess to becoming a shade suspicious whenever nosey-parkers and do-gooders tell me that they regard it as their sacred duty to 'protect' me from myself — whether these tedious persons emanate from the Roman Catholic Church or the Communist dictatorships. Dr Jenkins will have to send for the Thought Police, Whether they turn up dressed in scarlet or any shade of red, he will find their methods are as indistinguishable as their colours.
