"God save King William." Composed by THOMAS WELSH; the Words

by THOMAS Dinoirr. The unexampled number of songs, glees, odes, &c., to which the accession of King WILLIAM has given birth, may be regarded as a pretty sure proof of his popularity. It is not that composers or publishers care one farthing for King WILLIAM the Fourth in preference to King GEORGE the Fourth, but loyal songs are now a more marketable com- modity than they were during the late reign. We cannot pretend to review a tenth part of those which are making their weekly appearance, but we select this as one of the best of the sort. There is nothing vul- gar or commonplace about it, but the whole has a musician-like air and character, which is creditable to Mr. WELSH'S good taste. The firs verse is a solo, for treble or tenor ; the second a trio, for treble, tenor and bass, with a short chorus ; the third an original air slightly varied, for a single voice, and finished by a repetition of the chorus.
