Parliament's Tasks Our Parliamentary Correspondent writes : The 'nest controversial

question in the new session of Parliament which opens on Tuesday is likely to arise out of the recent disturbances in the East End of London and elsewhere. While the great majority of the Government supporters would welcome fairly drastic new legislation to prevent the recent rioting that has accompanied Fascist meetings, there is likely to be considerable difference of opinion upon what form it should take. Sonic Members consider that the prohibition of uniforms, though desirable, is really impracticable. They are of opinion that it is virtually impossible to. legislate against the wearing of a distinctive dress and that in history there have been occasions when even a scarf has been the insignia of a revolutionary force. They consider that it would be sufficient for local authorities to use such powers as they already possess to ban outdoor meetings where there is a danger of serious disturbance.
