Last night's Gazette contains the order for a Court mourning

for the Grand Dutchess Alexandra Nicolaiewna of Russia ; to begin on Sunday next the 1st September,: to change on Thursday the 4th, and to termi- nate on Monday the 9th. The Gazette announces that the naval portion of the Parliamentary grant for services rendered by the fleet under Sir Robert Stopford, on the coast of Syria, in September, October, and November 1840, will be delivered into the registry of the High Court of Admiralty on the lath September next.

Another announcement is, that on the 19th September and every succeeding Tuesday and Thursday, prize-money will be distributed to the officers and men of the Queen's ship Rose, for seizing the Portu- tuguese slave-ship Nove Irmaos.
