The British Association for the Advancement of Science has made
its preparations to hold its sitting at Manchester next week. It follows close on the heels of its Social sister in Dublin, and will doubtless, in its own peculiar way, be not less useful. Much interest is excited by the promise of a paper from the Astronomer Royal on the solar eclipse of last year.
