44 Wrong Ways With Russia "

Stn,—I should like to express my personal sympathy and agreement with your article, Wrong Ways with Russia (August 10th). .It is care- fully considered and statesmanlike in its attitude towards the puzzling enigma of Russia. In fact, if this article could have appeared at an earlier date, it might possibly have prevented, some statesmen from responding to Mr. Shvenk's letter in the hasty and ill-considerecl manner they adopted. Surely it would be wiser to accept—for die present—Rtissies change of tactics, hoping that a change of heart might evolve in due course. We have, indeed, experienced many dis- appointments with regard to Russian approaches, but perhaps Russia has felt the same on some occasions regarding Western Powers.—Yours Chairman, Women's International League. 144 Southampton Row, W.C.I.
