We understand that Major - General the Honourable T. Ashburnham, C.B., will

succeed to the Coloneley of the Eighty-second Regiment, vacant by the death of Lieutenant-General Hamilton. The Colonelcy of the Sixty-sixth Regiment has also become vacant by the death of General Blunt. By this event Colonel Walker, C.B., of the Scots Fusilier Guards, becomes a Major-General, and in consequence of his promotion Colonel Ridley, Colonel Dalrymple, Captain the Honourable R. Mostyn, and Lieutenant Stephenson, respectively gain a step of a regimental rank—Globe.
