On the 13th January, at her son-in-law's, Mr. C. S. Meeke, surgeon, Mrs. Elizabeth Porter ; in her 82d year : and on the 20th, at his son's, Mr. Charles Porter, surgeon, Digbeth, Birmingham, John Porter, Esq., husband of the above ; an his 92d year. On the 19th, at Odiham, Hants, Lieutenant-Colonel Charles William Short, late of the Coldstream Guards; in his 58th year.

On the 19th, Miss Margaret Ann Carpue, of Park Place, Clifton ; in her 924 year. On the 20th, at Skirbeek, Ann, relict of the late Edmund Oldtield, Esq., of Darby Hall, Leake ; in her 91st year.

On the 21st, Sir Robert Barlow, Bart., of the Bengal Civil Service, fourth son of the late Sir George Biters Barlow, Bart., G.C.B. ; in his 59th year. On the 23d, at Wyfold Court, Oxon,-George David Deakin, Esq., the only son of the late General Sir Rufane Shawe Donkin, K.C.B. On the 29th, in Cambridge Street, Pimlico, the Rev. W. H. Medhurst, D.D., of Shanghae, China, having landed from China but a few days ; in his 61st year. On the 25th, at the Abbey House, Glastonbury, the Dowager I.ady Lethbridge. On the 26th, at Torquay, William Henry, Viscount Dovrne ; in his 95th year. On the 26th, the Rev. W. A. C. Durham, A.M., Rector of the united parishes of St. Matthew and St. Peter, Westchefip ; in his 831 year. On the 26th, at Hammersmith, Marianne, the wrie of Leigh Hunt ; in her 69th year. On the 26th, in Grosvenor Square, the Hon. Clara Louisa Visitants', second daughter of the Right Hon. Lord Muntingfield. On the 27th, in Park Crescent, the Hon. Baron Alderson ; in his 70th year. On the 29th, at his residence near Taunton, Lieutenant-General Sir Nathaniel Thorn.
