THE SATURDAY-TO-MONDAY HABIT.

[To THE EDITOR OP THE " SPECTATOR."] much earlier instance of this habit can be found than that quoted by your correspondent in last week's issue,— viz., Samuel Pepys's resolution, under date July 14th, 1667, "never to keep a country house, but to keep a coach, and with my wife on a Saturday to go sometimes for a day to this place, and then quit to another place." Subsequent entries prove that this resolution was acted on.—I am, Sir, &c.,
