The French state that German resistance is weakening. This may
or may not be so. At any rate, one may say that it certainly will weaken. But there arises the question, What will the French do when it has weakened and indeed broken down ? That will not aid them in anything except in staying in the 'Ruhr. But then, perhaps, this is their whole object.
