The Globe publishes the first part of a paper entitled

" Confessions of a Protectionist M.P., addressed to Lord George Bentinck, M.P."; with an as- surance by the editor that " the character which the writer assumes realty belongs to him," and that his name "would add to his communication the weight due to consistency with [in ?] his public conduct." From the section published, the Protectionist M.P. seems to be describing in his own mind a conversion from the opinions of Lord George Bentinek to those of Sir Robert Peel, under the influence of political necessity and expanding views; but to make this part fully intelligible, we must await the sequel.
