Heard from The Listener

Sir: One of your readers has written to me regarding my sug- gestion in the SPECTATOR two weeks ago that The Listener had shown bias in 1968 in not reproducing a talk part of which defended Enoch Powell. He has convinced me that a contribution on this subject which he wrote and discussed at that period with the Editor of The Listener shows that the latter was in fact giving Mr Powell a fair hearing. No doubt my own con- tribution was squeezed out by better material.
