We regret to state that accounts have been received from

the Cape which represent that Captain Gibson and Dr. Howell, of the Rifle Bri- gade, accompanied by the Honourable William Chetwynd, Seventy-third Regiment, went on an amateur excursion among the Kafirs, fell into an ambush, and all of them fell a sacrifice to their imprudence—Globe.
