In the "British Museum Handbooks" we have A Guide to

the Egyptian Galleries (Sculpture) (1s. 6d.) The statues, &a., are chronologically arranged, the earliest belonging to the Third Dynasty (with a probable date of 3,800 B.C.), the latest to the Christian period about four millenniums and a half later. The total number of articles is 1,176, the best represented periods. being that of the Twelfth Dynasty, with 139 items, and that of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth, which number 371. The two together, it will be seen, account for nearly a half of the whole. Many of the more important monuments are represented in the illustrations.
