Sir: 'A Conservative' is mistaken when he writes (27 March)

that 'it is clearat the moment that most .Ulstermen wish to remain part of the United Kingdom'.

Can I remind him that the province of Ulster has nine count- ies. It is not confined to the six which were artificially carved out in 1921 to ensure a permanent Unionist majority.

In view of this, it is clear that the majority of Ulstermen do not wish to remain part of the United Kingdom.
