Ypres. By C. J. Magrath. (Red Triangle Press. ls.)—This little

history of Ypres, with a plan and photographs arranged in pairs to show some of the famous buildings before the war and their remnants at the present time, will interest both those who have served in " the Salient " and their friends at home. Ypres, as Dr. Magrath observes, has had a very long connexion with England. "I am often asked," says the Town Major in a Preface, "whether Yper is to be rebuilt. I greatly misunderstand the Flemish spirit if it should not be."
