failed to get service for her Kenwood mixer, having been directed to Kenwood s works at Havant, Hamp- shire. As a matter of fact, Kenwood have a very efficient service department. but 1 stumbled on this well-kept secret only after several weeks' skirmishing with the company.

As an old campaigner in the quest for service, I distinguish three classes of manufacturer: 1. Those who give good service; 2. Those who give good service after one writes a letter to the managing director, and 3. Those who never give good service.

Of these, the second class is by far the most numerous.
