SIR,—May I take exception to your statement that motor companies have not been injured or unemployment caused by the removal of protective duties ? I hold shares in the Rover and Rudge-Whitworth Companies, which have, till lately, been very prosperous, but have just received their annual reports saying that they can pay no dividends this year, on either ordinary or preference shares.—I am,
