Disenfranchised

Sir: In his letter of November 29 Mr Folkes says that the Conservative Party would always predominate in an independent England — after Scotland and Wales have left us. (I take it he includes the departure of N. Ireland, too?)

There is no chance of England being predominant' Conservative after the break-up of the United Kingdom while England is governed from Brussels under the socialist Treaty of Rome. And what Conservative Party is this to which he refers? We haven't had one in this country for thirty years. The electorate has never been able to elect one.
