born on the 21st of August 1705 ; and is, et' cootrse, at pre- sent in the sixty-fifth year of 1:is age. Ile was created Duke of Clarence and St. Atalreoe's, and Earl of Munster, in May 1789. His iMajesty is also a Knight of the Garter, of the Thistle, anoi Grated Cross of the Bath. Ile was nnited to her Illajesty, Adelaide Louisa Theresa Caro- line Amelia, eldest daughter of the late, and sister of the reigning Duke of Saxe Meiningen, on the I I LI' of July 1818, vhen Ile was in his fifty- third year, otud lois consort in her twenty-sixth year. The issue of this mar- riage was the Princess Charlotte Augusta, born and died the 27th of 31arch 1;t1:), and the Princess Elizabeth Geoesiame .Adelando, born 10th of December 1820, died on the 4th of March, in the following year. The Earl of Errol, the Honourable Jolla Erskine Kennedy (second son of Earl (assilis), Mr. Philip Sydney (the Member of Eye, and only son of Sir .I:onts Sydney, Bart.), and Liemenant-Colonel Charles Fox, of the filo Regiment of Foot, stand in the relation of sons-in-law to his 'Majesty ; having rtarried the Misses Elizabeth, Augusta, Sophia, and Mary Fitzelarence, tie: King's daughters.
